Meet sonia:
your AUTOIMMUNE
DISEASE SPECIALIST
Hello, I’m Sonia Sidle, a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association. I also hold certifications as a Certified Autoimmune Paleo Coach, a Certified Functional Blood Chemistry Specialist, a Restorative Wellness Practitioner and a Functional Supplement Specialist.
Originally from France, I now live in Texas with my spouse, our two children, and our two dogs.
My personal journey with autoimmune disease
My journey began after I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and later endometriosis. Despite years of conventional treatment, my symptoms -fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, and dry skin- lingered. I felt frustrated and stuck.
Everything changed when an integrative doctor introduced me to the AutoImmune Protocol (AIP), a nutrition and lifestyle framework designed to calm inflammation, health the gut lining, and restore balance. Within just three months, I experienced a profound transformation: my energy return, the brain fog lifted, and I finally felt like myself again.
Later when ou teenage son was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, we turned to AIP for him as well. Despite his pediatrician’s doubt, his symptoms completely disappeared. Experiencing these transformations in our own family confirmed what I already felt in my heart: nutrition and lifestyle are powerful tools in navigating autoimmunity.
from personal healing to professional calling
These experiences inspired me to dedicate my career to helping others. I became a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) and a Certified Autoimmune Paleo Coach, specializing in gut health, which is a cornerstone of autoimmune wellness.
Alongside my colleague Ludy de Menten, I co-created J’adopte l’AIP, a French-language program designed to help people transition to the Autoimmune Protocol in just six weeks. In 2024, we co-authored the book Soigner l’auto-immunité avec le protocole AIP, the first french language resource of its kind , complete with guidance and 60 AIP-compliant recipes.
Today as an autoimmune disease specialist, I work with clients worldwide -offering personalized nutrition, advanced functional testing, and lifestyle strategies that target root causes instead of masking symptoms.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Curious about my background or approach as an autoimmune disease specialist? I’ve gathered answers to the most common questions I receive, so you can get to know me better and understand how I support clients living with autoimmune conditions.
After being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and endometriosis, I spent years struggling with symptoms that conventional medicine didn’t resolve. When I discovered the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP), my health dramatically improved -and later, my son’s did too. These life-changing experiences inspired me to dedicate my career to helping others navigate autoimmunity.
I combine advanced functional training with personal experience of living with autoimmune disease. My focus as an autoimmune disease specialist is to uncover root causes -like gut health imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, and lifestyle stressors — and design a plan that’s realistic, supportive, and sustainable.
Yes. I began with strict AIP elimination, and today I follow a “modified AIP” that includes reintroductions that work for me. This allows me to guide clients not only through elimination, but also through long-term adjustments that make sense for their lifestyle.
Absolutely. I support clients worldwide through virtual consultations. I also offer resources and programs in both English and French.
I grew up in Normandy, France, and now live in Texas with my spouse, our two children, and our dogs. I’ve also had the opportunity to live in Dubai, Brazil, and Venezuela, which gave me a deep appreciation for different cultures, foods, and ways of living. That international background often influences both my cooking style and my approach to wellness.
