Meet sonia:
your holistic guide
to wellness
Hello there, I’m Sonia Sidle, a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association. Additionally, I hold certifications as a Certified Autoimmune Paleo Coach, a Certified Functional Blood Chemistry Specialist, a Restorative Wellness Practitioner and a Functional Supplement Specialist.
Originally from France, I now call Texas home, where I live with my spouse, our two teenagers, and our two beloved dogs.
My personal journey after my diagnosis of Hashimoto's
My personal journey towards wellness embarked upon a few years back when I received a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. This condition brought with it a host of challenging symptoms, including dry skin, weight gain, and a persistent foggy brain, among others. Initially, I placed my faith in conventional medicine, hoping for a solution. However, the years rolled by, and my symptoms persisted, compounded by the presence of Endometriosis.
Eventually, I reached a point where I decided enough was enough. Seeking an alternative path, I consulted with an integrative doctor who recommended the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP), an elimination diet designed to decrease inflammation and alleviate autoimmune and chronic diseases. Remarkably, within just three months of adopting this protocol, I witnessed a profound transformation. Most of my troubling symptoms vanished, and I felt like a completely new person.
Ou son's diagnosis of Hashimoto's was instrumental in my career change
Afterwards my teenage son received a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s as well. Despite the skepticism of his pediatrician regarding the AIP approach, we decided to give it a try. Miraculously, the same positive outcome occurred—his symptoms disappeared. This shared experience within our family underscored the profound impact of nutrition on our well-being, leading me to a resolute decision: I needed to help others grappling with similar health challenges.
This pivotal moment inspired me to pursue a career as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and a Certified Autoimmune Paleo Coach. Moreover, I expanded my expertise by becoming a Functional Blood Chemistry Specialist, a Restorative Wellness Practitioner (I specialize in gut health, which is closely linked to autoimmunity) and a Functional Supplement Specialist.
A PROGRAM CREATED IN FRENCH CALLED J'ADOPTE L'AIP
Since the pandemic, Ludy de Menten, another French speaking AIP Certified Coach, and I had been thinking about creating a program called “J’adopte l’AIP“. It took us a while to create and write it but in the spring of 2022 the program was launched and we were able to help more people suffering with autoimmune diseases in French speaking countries. We had noticed that the autoimmune protocol was not well known there. The program is available for purchase here. J’adopte l’AIP was created to help people with autoimmune diseases get to 100% AIP in 6 weeks on both nutrition and lifestyle changes.
AUTHOR OF A BOOK about autoimmune diseases and the aip in french
In March 2024, Ludy de Menten and I published a book called “Soigner l’auto-immunité avec le protocole AIP“. The book is written in French, it explains what autoimmune diseases are, why some people get them, how you can address them by making some diet and lifestyle changes under the autoimmune protocol (AIP). It also contains 60 AIP compliant recipes. Writing and publishing this book was a big accomplishment because there is no book of this type in France, Belgium, Switzerland or Quebec. With the publication of our book, we are hoping to be able to help people suffering with autoimmune diseases.
