Method
- Put the dried elderberries and the filtered water in a medium saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce the heat and simmer on medium-low for 30 minutes.
- Remove pan from the heat and mash the elderberries with a potato masher (the one you use to make mashed potatoes) in order to release all the juice.
- Strain the mixture using a cheese cloth into a glass bowl and let it cool down.
